Giving back to the veteran community is something we hold dear to our hearts. We also have an immense love for the great outdoors. We've decided to mesh one with the other and provide outdoor experiences for our Veteran community.
In May of 2017, 2018 & 2019 we've taken nine Veterans, Kevin Dubois, Randy Bagwell, Armand Teatrault, Scott Sullivan, Josh Chiarini, Tim Jackson, Sam Vranicar, Craig Tuchon and Frank Cabral, on all expense paid Canadian Bear hunts at Pehqey Outfitters in New Brunswick Canada. Six of our nine guys brought home Canadian bears!
2019 was great year. We held our annual game dinner, took six Veterans on a pheasant hunt, took three Veterans to learn to fly fish and tie flies and we had our annual bear hunt. Then COVID-19 reared its ugly head in 2020, we were lucky enough to get our Annual Game Dinner in and a Snow Goose Hunt in Upstate NY; however had to cancel many various events we had planned. We were able to still host our Sweet Pea Classic golf tourney in October and then we took some Vets on a Goose Hunt. We were even able to do a Pheasant Hunt!
2021 was better, although we were unable to have our Annual Game Dinner and we were unable to cross the boarder for our Annual Bear Hunt. July 10th we held our first Cornhole & Clays event at Ashaway Sportsman's Club. There was live music, BTB family BBQ, beer tastings by Whalers and so much more! Proceeds from this event went to our Fall upstate NY Goose hunt. We took 6 Veterans in 2021!
2022 Looks much more promising! We took a Veteran on a fully funded Boar Hunt with our a new Outfitter, in Tioga, PA. Our game dinner is sold out and will be held at a new to us venue, the Portuguese Club in Cranston, RI on February 19th. We have a Pheasant Hunt planned for March, our Bear Hunt for May, Goose Hunt in September along with various local duck and deer hunting adventures.
